This Clarke EX40 18LX carpet extractor is a self-contained model that will lay down solution, scrub your carpeting, and then suck it back up. The biggest feature on this machine is the fact it can clean in both forward and reverse. Most are only pull-behind units because of where the suction shoe needs to be placed. The hand on this machine is able to be reversed. Doing so puts the hand on the other side of the scrubbing and vacuum shoe, to allow you to go the other direction in a pushing motion.
